Arctic Small Tool tradition

end blade found lying on the surface of the ground

ASTt: A fragment of a flaked stone end-blade (i.e, the sharp blade that would be mounted at the tip of a bone, antler or ivory harpoon or spear), found lying on the surface of the ground within a rock cache at a site on Ellesmere Island, as it has lain for well over 2000 years. This demonstrates how slowly things become buried in the High Arctic.
