Fieldwork: Archaeologists (and other scientists) working in the Canadian Arctic have for many years been greatly aided by the Polar Continental Shelf Project (PCSP) of the Government of Canada. Their base in Resolute is shown here. PCSP provides many researchers with accomodation in Resolute, some field equipment, and transportation by aircraft and helicopters to and from their fieldwork sites.
