This research was carried out at Monkey Jungle, Florida, and Tunney's Pasture, Ottawa. The Monkey Jungle pictures are from my work looking at object use in Macaques who live in social groups in a semi-natural habitat. I gave them 10 different toys to play with and watched what they did. Then I went to Ottawa and gave the same 10 toys to monkeys who live in a restricted habitat to see what they would do. They did some things like bite and carry but they did different things like put objects inside other objects. Lots of data and very interesting results. Done at Tunney's Pasture under the permission of Health Canada. The object washing was very interesting.
